Baby’s First Week at Home.

baby-first-week.jpg

So it’s been one week since our baby was born. Here’s what we found out about newborns.

  • Baby farts are as bad as adult farts.
  • The first few poops are nasty.
  • Breastfeeding is not easy, but it gets better.
  • Baby poop is all number 3’s.
  • Baby can feed and poop at the same time.
  • Baby can poop and pee while you’re changing the diaper. Be careful.
  • Sleep schedules are all messed up.
  • Diaper changing is not that bad. The bad part is how often you have to change it.
  • Baby gets cuter by the day.
  • Our baby smiles just before he falls asleep, VERY CUTE. I think that might be the case for most babies.

Sounds like you are having fun with it! Ace used to smile while he slept. I think he was dreaming because all of the sudden he would grin and sometimes chuckle a bit. Kids are just cool!

Stupid question maybe, but are the pics here actually of Scott?

If they are he is just so super cute.

    Nice stuff.

All pictures are from Google. I don’t want to put any personal pictures out on the net. He is supercute tho.

Phew…I was thinking that it was a very alert looking baby for a week or so old!

Good choice of shots actually, suits the posts.

“Sleep schedules are all messed up” — that’s the most euphemistically I’ve ever seen that said by a new parent. I admire your composure.

New borns - there must be something about them - we have four (not all newborns) under 5 and - yup - another on the way. That will be 5 under 6. time for some bricks I think.

Have a happy new year all.

Just stumbled across your web site and am enjoying your entries. Our baby will be one year old this January. I’m seeing a lot of what we’ve been through in your posts and am enjoying the trip down memory lane immensely.

Speaking as one father to another, always have lots of spare time to snuggle and read to your baby! Rocking my baby boy to sleep is one of the greatest joys of my days. I figure I’ve got to spend as much time with him now before he turns into a teenager and doesn’t want to be on the same planet as his old man! ;o)

Best wishes to you and your entire family for a happy and prosperous New Year!

Okay, so I am a late bloomer. I just found this post and laughed out loud. I am going to share it with my Feisty Females, as we always like a Feisty Male’s perspective on life!

Thanks for the giggle con latte’
