Ice Cubes on the Belly
My wife heard from her friend that if you put ice cubes on your belly, the baby will move away from that spot. I have my doubts, but we gave it a shot anyways. She got a few ice cubes from the freezer and wrapped paper towel around it.
She exposed her big baby belly to me. We figured out where the baby is and then applied the ice pack. At first, she didn’t feel any coldness. We had to remove a few layers of paper towel. Then, it was really cold. She was freezing from the cubes. She was actually shaking from the coldness. Nothing. The baby didn’t move. I think the only reason the baby would move is because the mommy is shaking from the cold, not because of the ice cubes. So, don’t waste your time and ice cubes on that experiment. Myth busted, if there ever was a myth about that.

Hmm - seems like the amount of tissue and amniotic fluid wouldn’t allow the baby to get cold. Those little guys are pretty well protected in their little cocoons.

We’re dummies for even trying.
