Unique Baby Names
Thinking of a name for your child? Please think twice before giving them a weird name. Parents think that by giving their child a unique name they will turn them into a unique or special individual. In reality they will become targets of ridicule in school. Here are some real examples:
I.P. Freely
ESPN
Brick
Tequila
Howard Will Pee
Ima Horr
Crystal Shanda Lear
Buzz Eoff
@
Yes, a couple in China wanted to name their baby the “@” sign. Luckily for the baby, the Chinese government rejected that name.
Imagine the amount teasing that Howard Will Pee received from his classmates, probably even to adulthood. How can you take someone named I.P. Freely seriously? “And now I.P. Freely talk about our 3rd quarter results…”
Although Cobra Cutch sounds like a good name for a boy, right?
Wise Man Tip: Naming your child Ima Horr is just plain wrong. Unless it’s a boy, then that’s fine.

Good suggestions. I have some friends that say really rare names build character. I’m not so sure. My wife and I are still trying to come up with names for our first child expected in April.
I built a Google Maps mashup of popular baby names to help me in the process. You might find it useful as well:
