It’s been almost 8 weeks since Scott has been home with us. He’s been a joy. His daily routine still consist of eat, sleep, shit, and cry. He’s growing rapidly, almost doubling his birth weight. He has big eyes and chubby cheeks. His diet has been 95% breast milk and 5% formula. Very healthy so far.

Every once in a while he’ll break out a smile that just warms our hearts. Most nights he let us sleep for 4-5 hours straight, which is fine. Sometimes he wakes up every 1 to 2 hours, which is not fine. It’s still weird sometimes to think that we created this baby.

My wife has been home taking care of Scott. She’s taking 5 months off from work. No postpartum for her, probably thanks to me. I been showering her with love and affection. When I’m home I change Scott’s diaper most of the time. It’s no so bad after a dozen times. It’s easy to know when he shits, because it’s really loud. He been shitting a little less, which is great. He went from shitting every 2 hours to every 3-6 hours.

Baby just farted.
