We went to the supermarket for some junk food tonight. We slowly went through each aisle. Picked up some candies and drinks. In the drinks aisle, I noticed a familiar logo and color. It was the Hooters logo with some chick on it. I took a closer look. Lo and behold, it’s an official Hooters Energy Drink.

I was talking to this lady who is approaching 80 years old. I asked her what were her favorite years during her lifetime. She thought about it for a few seconds and then said Read the rest of this entry »

Google changed their search algorithm this past Tuesday morning. It sucks. I lost about 30% - 40% of my traffic from Google searches. I think Google is trying to reduce the blog sites that pop up when people search for keywords. I guess it’s good. Makes their search result more relevant.

We went for the 2nd class tonight. My wife went to the restroom, while I waited for her in the reception area. A lady came through the front door apparently looking for the class we were in. Being a nice guy, I promptly pointed her to the wrong location. Luckily my wife came out of the restroom in time to point her to where we were supposed to be.

My wife went for a 4D ultrasound today. It was not medically necessary, but she had always wanted to do it from the beginning. Insurance was does not cover it because it’s an elective procedure. The total cost was $225, it included a 25 minute DVD of the session that was extended to almost 40 minutes. Numerous printouts of the different images were also included.

Technology has come a long way. A few decades ago, we didn’t find out the sex of our babies until they were born. Now we’re able to find out the sex by the 16th week. And latest technology allows you to choose the gender of your baby even before conception.

My wife signed us up for the childbirth class at NYU Medical Center. It’s a 3 hour class once a week for 5 weeks. The instructor is going to teach us about pregnancy, body changes, stages of the labor process and caring for the newborn baby.

I think I’m starting to have a stronger sense of fatherhood. I usually head to the casinos at Atlantic City,NJ with my buddies every few months. It was never a big deal, just a 2 and half hour drive. This last one I was not feeling good about going. I knew my wife would be fine at home. She’ll probably watch a bunch of shows, snack on junk food and call me a hundred times to check up on me. I was fine with that.

Today is our 3rd year wedding anniversary. Happy 3 years! We said from the beginning that we would go for a baby after two years and we did. Now the baby is coming in about two months. Every thing’s working out great. Here’s some nice pictures of where I propose to her: Gapstow Brigde In Central Park NYC

This is going to be our baby’s crib. My wife found this gem at Walmart. It’s made by Baby Mod and it’s called Roxanne 3-in1 Convertible crib. We both really like the modern design and the two tone color. Too bad the bedding is not included.

My wife’s parents took us to Ikea this morning. They kindly purchased two pieces of furniture for our baby room. We got a wardrobe closet and a chest with 8 drawers. My wife picked them out. I think it’ll look very nice in the room. Check out the pictures below.

In 2001, U.S. health officials warned that pregnant women should limit their fish consumption to 12 ounces a week. Fearing that mercury may cause harm to the fetus, many women ate less and less fish. A recent survey shows that 90 percent of women are eating less than the FDA recommended amount of fish. But now the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is saying that potential problems caused by mercury pale in comparison with harm caused by lack of omega-3 fatty acids. Read the rest of this entry »

Heart breaking stuff here.
This is from Elyse’s website:

The winner of the 2007 Rubik’s Cube World Championship is Yu Nakajima(16) from Japan. The event took place in the birthplace of Rubik’s Cube, Hungary. A kid from the U.S. came in second place, Andrew Kang.

This past Sunday we painted our baby room. Originally, it was plain old white with some dark marks. We went to Home Depot to pick up the paint stuff. My wife chose Glidden Evermore Premium Interior Satin. It’s suppose to be washable. We’ll find out soon enough. The color she chose is Summer Butterfly, which is a very light yellow. I’ve included the before and after pictures below.
My wife heard from her friend that if you put ice cubes on your belly, the baby will move away from that spot. I have my doubts, but we gave it a shot anyways. She got a few ice cubes from the freezer and wrapped paper towel around it.

Week 28:
We were in bed last night, I was talking to the belly about the Yankees. I was telling the belly how the Yankees are probably done, being down 0-2 in the series against the Cleveland Indians. The baby in the belly responded with a punch or kick to my face. He thinks the Yankees still got a chance.
So my wife was watching a very dramatic TV show. The plot of the story is very sad. It’s about love, sickness, death and all that other good stuff. She was teary throughout the show. While she was crying her eyes out, I happen to find this website that had a bunch of FUNNY subtitle quotes from Chinese movies. I was laughing while she was crying. Check out the quotes:
