Baby’s Immunization and Needles

needle.jpg

Our baby had his first post-hospital shots this past week. Earlier in the day, I had two shots myself during my annual checkup. Too many needles in one day.

Scott took two shots in the left thigh and one shot in the right thigh. Of course, he started screaming after the shots. He stopped crying after 5 minutes which is great. I thought he was going to be crying all night. He didn’t get sick or anything. What a tough cookie. The doctor said he is totally healthy and growing at a good pace.

Needles suck. I figure we would have new needle technology by now. I read somewhere about needle-less delivery technology being developed, but nothing solid yet. The worst is the dentist needles that go into your gums. It’s like we’re still in the stone ages.

I agree! Needles suck! Ace doesn’t like shots either. His leg is always red the rest of the day where they stuck him.
