Flying with a baby

Flying with a baby

Babies 2 years old and younger fly for free on most airlines if they stay in the parent’s lap. It’s a big money saver for the parents. I think it’s great for the shorter flights, but not so great on longer flights.

deluxe prenatal gift set

In a earlier post I wrote about Belly Talk, which involves a person talking to the unborn child in the belly. Yesterday, while looking for more items for our baby registry I saw a gift set from BebeSounds called Deluxe Prenatal Gift Set. In the gift set, there are devices that can help you hear the baby, talk to the baby, record the baby’s sounds, and play music for the unborn baby.

Do not breastfeed at these places

drinking milk

I am pro breastfeeding in public places. When a baby needs the mother’s milk, the baby must have it. It’s a natural thing. We shouldn’t be offended by a woman feeding her young. If you have a problem with it, you can choose to look away.

Becoming a Father

father and son painting

My co-worker ask me how it feels to know that I’ll be father soon. I never actually gave it much thought. After being a son for 29 years, now it’s my turn to be a father. I will be guiding my son’s early years. Teaching him life lessons that I acquired. Hopefully I can help him avoid some pitfalls that I fell in. But then again, life is about ups and downs. We learn from our mistakes. Sometime you just have let them learn on their own.

In the early 1900’s to 1970’s, the husbands waited in the waiting room while the wives gave birth in the delivery room. Sounds like a good deal. Something happened in the 80’s that changed all that.

plain white t’s

While laying in bed last night, I decided to play Plain White T’s album Every Second Counts on our Ipod Home Dock thing. My wife said the baby was dancing inside her belly. We going to assume that’s a positive review. Usually we play Mozart or Beethoven at night when we go to sleep. A little variety shoudn’t hurt.
